Seed Small Beginnings is dedicated to protecting and preserving the environment. We are actively working to reduce plastic waste and provide education about the environment to the students and the villagers. The school grounds are plastic-free.
Our partner is Plastic Free Cambodia, an organisation which provides education and workshops on the effects of plastic over-consumption in Cambodia and the world.
We also raise students' awareness of the link between deforestation, the environment and global warming.
Students are regularly asked to participate in activities on both topics. For example, hundreds of trees have already been planted around the schools of Bech Khlok and the neighbouring village, educational trips have been made to the nearby rainforest area and plastic is being collected regularly.
