Only four weeks after construction started, are we already celebrating a bigger moment, the topping-out ceremony! Even if the ceremony only consisted of a group photo with the workers, Sambath (Project Manager) and a few twigs decorated with paper lanterns, it was never the less a very special moment. Only the workers didn't really understand what this was all about.
I will try to be brief this time and only attach a few photos from our intense 12-hour trip to Bech Khlok. Sanbath and I joined two boys and their tractor (loaded with Bamboo, 3 Biosand-Waterfilters, doors and window frames), on their long journey from Battambang to Bech Khlok. It was, especially for the boys, an exhausting trip. They started at 4.30 already! We met them 4 hours later in Koas Krala, the last big village, and accompanied them from there to Bech Khlok, as they could not have found the way otherwise.

Finally, arriving in Bech Khlok and unload everything! I will write again after Khmer New Year with news from the Countryside Class, where we are currently having a week with special activities.
Aufrichte!
Nur 4 Wochen nach Baubeginn, feiern wir bereits einen grosser Moment, die Aufrichte! Auch wenn die Zeremonie nur aus einem Gruppenfoto mit den Arbeitern, Sambath (Projekt Manager) und ein paar Zweigen, dekoriert mit einer Papierlaterne, bestand, es war trotzdem ein sehr schön. Nur die Arbeiter verstanden nicht wirklich, was das alles soll :)

Ansonsten werde mich diesmal sehr kurz halten und nur noch ein paar Fotos von unserem gestrigen 12-Stunden trip nach Bech Khlok anfügen. Sambath und ich begleiteten zwei Jungs mit ihrem Traktor - geladen mit Bambus, 3 Biosand-Wasserfilter, Türen und Fensterrahmen - auf ihrer langen Reise von Battambang nach Bech Khlok. Es war, vor allem für die Jungs, ein sehr strapaziöses Unternehmen. Sie fuhren bereits um 4.30 am los! Wir trafen sie dann 4 Stunden später in Koks Krala, der letzten größeren Siedlung, und begleiteten sie von da bis nach Bech Khlok, da sie den Weg nicht selber gefunden hätten.

Endlich, Ankunft in Bech Khlok und Entladen! Das ist alles für heute.
